If you have wondered what is really happening with the Trinity River project north of downtown, here is a chance to ask the people doing the work.

What will be covered

Attendees can review project materials and speak with staff. The open house is hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Tarrant Regional Water District and the City of Fort Worth. This is the second year in a row they have held it.

I will be filming at the open house and will post the video here after the event. Subscribe on YouTube to see it the moment it goes up.

Why it matters

The project is aimed at managing flood risk, which the City says affects thousands of homes and businesses. It involves rerouting a section of the Trinity River and changes to Gateway Park. This is the flood-control side of Panther Island, separate from the canals and development on the island itself.

[DAVID: add a line or two in your own words, for example whether you plan to attend, and what questions you would ask.]
