Older report, status unconfirmed
A proposed roughly $120 million mixed-use project (reported as about 512,000 square feet of offices over retail) was pitched for Panther Island. We could not confirm whether it moved forward. Source: Bisnow

How long will the Panther Island canals be?
About 1.75 miles of canals are planned. The first section, about 225 feet, runs through Encore Panther Island, a 300-unit apartment community at Fourth and North Main.
What is happening with the next canal section?
The Tarrant Regional Water District said in Nov. 2025 that it would begin building the next section in mid-2026. The City says bridge construction follows once Canal C is finished, scheduled for June 2027.

Not necessarily. David Pannell films construction from the air and reports what he sees. Unless an official source confirms what a particular site is, he describes it as site work.
