Information you give us
If you sign up for email updates, we collect the email address you enter. Our email service, MailPoet, also records when you signed up and confirmed, and, if you open our emails or click their links, that activity. We use them only to send you Panther Island Update news and videos. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. If you email us directly, we keep your message so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site and its hosting provider may record basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type and the pages visited. We use it to keep the site secure and to understand which content is useful. We use Koko Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that runs on our own site: it counts page views and referring sites, does not use cookies to follow you around, and does not store your IP address or sell your data.
Videos and other outside services
Videos on this site are embedded from YouTube (using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode). When you play a video, YouTube and Google may collect information under their own privacy policies. Links to Facebook, Pond5 and other sites take you to services we do not control; their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help run the site and email updates (for example, our website host and email service), or when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, and you can ask us to see or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Independent site
Panther Island Update is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency or project. Nothing on this site is legal, financial or real estate advice.
